Serena Williams Wins Fifth U.S. Open Championship!

Serena Williams gives a fist pump while playing her women’s singles final match on Day Fourteen of the 2013 US Open at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center on Sunday (September 8) in New York City.

The 31-year-old tennis star defeated Victoria Azarenka after battling for three sets 7-5 6-7 6-1.

This win makes Serena a five time champion at the U.S Open and allowed her to defend her title. Congrats to Serena on the win!

In case you forgot, Serena and Victoria competed with each other for the championship last year, with Serena also winning the grand slam.
